Caroline Lazar is a 24 year old southern-grown-cat-mom-and-self-proclaimed-sad-indie-folk-girl based in Brooklyn, NY. On April 24 she is releasing her newest single, Take It. Take It is a song she wrote about loving someone that lives halfway around the world. Often compared to Phoebe Bridgers, Julia Jacklin, and Jay Som, Caroline brings a unique, brutal honesty and dark sense of humor to the folk and singer/songwriter genre.
Her newest single, Take It, was written while she was feeling lucky to be in love, but horribly unlucky to be so far away from that person. Take It is a love song through and through, speaking of unapologetic vulnerability in a new relationship. The acoustic guitars and mandolin help tell the difficult story of being in love with someone who is so far away. Caroline’s favorite past times include but are not limited to cuddling with her beloved cat- Luna, reading on the Church bound G train, drinking black coffee while petting Luna, eating some sort of dish containing potatoes, and watching Seinfeld with Luna. She is also found performing around Brooklyn and Manhattan with her band. You can follow Caroline on instagram at @carolinelazarlovescats.
